Yasmin + Damian
Ok I have to gush about Yasmin and Damian. Could you find a more relaxed yet sophisticated and sexy couple? I’m hard pressed, I’ll be honest.
On the crispiest winter night in August 2023, we had the pleasure of creating a “Complete” canopy for Yasmin and Damian. It was 7:15am when we arrived and I was as usual, under dressed for the chilly morning air in Bowral. My day started with cable ties and fairy lights but their day started with hair and make up from Deelush Hair and Kyzo Bride.
After my canopy was up and the brunch champagne had been poured, the seriously stunning bride was ready to slip on her gown from Love Marie Bridal to prepare for her ceremony, officiated by none other than Claire Belford. The gown was fitted with a structured bodice and an enviable amount of hand beaded goodness. It had a straight cut neckline and the most intricate detailing with a sheer panel on either ribcage. She looked divine, of course.
Claudia, from Rain Floral Design did the absolute most on the Ceremony installation, featuring a lush base of imported white, cream and toffee coloured roses coupled with babies breath and textured magnolia leaves, giving lashings of burnt sunset orange and rust hues to compliment the manicured gardens and sandstone cottage on the grounds.
All of the fun and games were captured by the incredibly talented Oliver and Kurt (trust me, click the link and watch the video). And everyone was still kicking on, well into the evening when I arrived to pack it all down. We aren’t really an interactive part of the wedding so it kind of caught me off guard to see Yasmin, clutching her dress and a glass of bubbles, run up to me while I was 3 steps up a ladder, just to say thanks and chat about how incredible a day they’d had. It’s the cherry on top.
Cheers to Yasmin + Damian, may they have a life full of swirly dance floor moves and happiness.
